On August 26th my mother and step father were involved in a head-on collision with another vehicle. According to the police on scene the other driver was at fault. Unfortunately it was no minor incident, it killed my step father instantly and my mother has been in hospital ever since.

All this happened in Australia while I am currently living in the USA.

I was able to go to Australia and be at the hospital for a few weeks in September though the time off work and the cost of the trip plus accommodation put a strain on our finances.

I would really like to be able to afford to go back around Christmas time, now that mum is not as doped as she was when I was there and be able to remember the time. The problem is that I don't think we can afford to do it.

This brings me to the reason this site was born. If people could donate a couple of dollars to the cause it would greatly help the issue and be appreciated more than you could realise. If you feel the christmas spirit please think about sending just a couple of dollars.
